Winter Solstice Break
We will stop for a couple of weeks to celebrate the winter solstice. Therefore the next game will be on 13 or 14 January 2007.
Join the Club!
If you live in Kathmandu, have most weekends free and you work for the United Nations or any other international organization, you are entitled to join our Club. Please send an email to Sergio (stargios@gmail.com) stating your preferred position in the field.
The Rules (to be updated as required)
1. Every Monday Sergio will send an email to all players in the list. Thursday at 1730 will be deadline to reply. Friday I will send the list of the 15 players chosen. Sher will continue booking the field and finding a team.
2. If more than 15 players have replied, Sergio will select 15 players based on Skills, frequency (this is to make a team, the more commitment of the player to play every week, the better for the team) and Seniority.
3. All 15 players chosen will play more or less the same amount of time. This is rather complex to explain, so I will explain it on the ground. It is basically a multiple rotative system based on the position you play. So, midfielders, for example, there are 3 positions and 4 players, they will rotate every 90/4 =23 minutes, so each player will play 70min each.
4. Paying for the Field. To make it fair for everyone, those earning 1,000USD and above (more or less) will pay 300NRs , those on around 500USD, 150NRS, students and unemployed 50 NRs. This should be paid to Sher on the day of the match.
5. If you sign up for the game but you do not turn up and you do not communicate this to Sergio or Sher before Thursday 17:30, you are liable to a penalty of 200Nrs. At least until we get the funds to pay for the t-shirts.

Christian’s Farewell Party
It went quite well. We got 5,600 Nrs. To be honest, I think we were fouled by the people from Moksh. According to their numbers only 33 people paid the entrance fee. According to my own numbers, we had around 100 people, most of which paid the entrance fee. Ke Garne! I guess we learn from our mistakes. Next time I will put someone at the door to collect the entrance fee.
